Pam Skop, LMHC
Owner and Psychotherapist
From the age of 12 years old I knew I wanted to be a therapist. My desire to support others through challenges and life transitions led me to complete my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Hunter College. During my time at Hunter College, I interned at The Mount Sinai Hospital in the psychiatry department. My training through Mount Sinai led me to a position at the New York State Psychiatric Institute, where I began my career. I have since completed additional training in CBT, DBT, Perinatal Mood and Anxiety disorders, and Eating Disorders. I am currently licensed in New York State, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
While facing my own transitions, I found yoga; and decided to complete a 200-hour vinyasa teacher training from Laughing Lotus Yoga Studios, to delve deeper into the practice. I have found that the combination of yoga and psychotherapy work beautifully together to promote overall wellness and am grateful to share this gift with others. I have also trained as a prenatal yoga teacher and postpartum doula, increasing my awareness of the pre and postpartum periods.
I am a member of the Women's Mental Health Consortium, Perinatal Connections, International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals, Yoga Alliance, and Alma.
I look forward to connecting with you and learning about how I can support you on your journey.
